How it works

The Frax 1550 rejuvenates the skin by delivering very small, controlled bursts of heat energy to the area being treated. This unique technology allows the pulse time and energy to be set independently to deliver controlled heat at the appropriate width and depth to meet individual skin issues. This type of heat energy stimulates the production of collagen, which will resurface the skin overtime. Since the laser is rolled across the skin, the treatment takes a shorter time and the surface of the skin is left intact to heal and cover quickly.

What to expect

Prior to your Frax 1550 procedure, you and your healthcare provider will discuss your treatment goals. Generally, the treatment itself takes anywhere from 15-45 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated. 

Typically, you will be offered a course of 3 treatments, however, this will vary according to your needs and skin type. If you have a darker complexion, your provider may decide to offer a longer course of gentler treatments.

It is important to avoid tanning salons and self-tanning products before and during treatment, as well as reducing sun exposure during and after treatment for 30 days or to use sun protection (SPF 30 or higher.)

You will achieve maximum results if you use a medical-grade

moisturizing cream before and after treatment.
