Smooth PDO Medithreads

Medithread is a PDO (Polidioxanone) absorbable, smooth thread that can be used anywhere on the face and body to naturally tighten and improve skin tone and texture.

Smooth threads are a safe and effective, minimally invasive, non-surgical, one inch absorbable thread that tone the tissue and strengthens skin. Thinner than hair and made of protein, the threads are strategically and carefully inserted into the skin via a tiny needle into targeted areas, to elicit a mild injury that the body responds to by producing structural proteins such as fibrin, elastin and collagen, resulting in a firmer appearance.

Smooth threads can be used to treat saggy areas such as nasolabial folds, lips, eyelids, crows feet, frown lines, smoker's lines, jawline and marionette lines around the mouth, under the chin, abdomen, arms, neck chest, buttocks, knees and inner thighs.

Smooth threads can compliment or be used in place of Botox or as an alternative to dermal filler. For heavier lifting, some patients opt for barbed threads.

Smooth threads do not require numbing. You will feel a little pinch when threads are inserted and pulled through the skin.

 

Smooth threads can be done every 3-4 months and can be a great option for certain areas where Botox is not an option, such as the cheeks.
